Meet the brothers

So after so much pressure from fans all over,I've decided to make an interview with the Adagiri brothers happen and since yours sincerely is one of them,I couldn't interview myself,so I got a pal and mutual friend of the brothers to do the interview. It wasn't easy getting QT,Hamz and Karl to agree to have this interview but whew! After much persuasion,they agreed,Shhhh! Such punks,lol,so here we go!


On the big burgundy leather sofa facing the huge plasma screen,Ridwan the interviewer sat with a sheet on his hand in which the questions are written,waiting patiently for my brothers,I stood by the stairs leading to the room upstairs,taping the floor slightly with my foot,waiting patiently for my brothers so we can start the interview. After a few minutes which to me seemed like forever,I called out to them as Karl and Hamz appeared,laughing heartily and descending the stairs in a rather tipsy manner but just drunk with laughter,"whoever knows what's making them laugh" I thought,shrugged and squeezing my lips at the corners to show my displeasure at keeping us waiting, Karl patted me on the shoulders and asked me to chill, then out came QT,bouncing and smiling,obviously the idea of an interview seems quite funny to all, we settled down and let the interview begin


RIDWAN- Hello guys,lol,I know this is quite funny of me to interview you guys but I believe so much in #kuwda and a great fan and its really my pleasure to be the one chosen to interview you guys

BROTHERS- (in unison) thank you

RIDWAN- So starting with you Maj,what inspired Keeping Up With D Adagiris and why now

Maj- (general laughter,brothers smile) Wow! Thank you for the question,It is said that the intelligence of an actor isn't ever questioned,only the directors and producers,so it suffice to say am both of the former lol. Well I would say I got inspired by the kardashians, I was watching an episode of the reality show and they were having a huge row and afterwards,they made up and were this loving family all again and all I could see was us in them,u know,I could relate and since I love writing,I thought,what if I created my show "in writing" and that was how Keeping Up With D Adagiris was born

RIDWAN- Interesting, so #kuwda I know started from facebook and fans have been intrigued by your family drama,the suspense,the comedic feel and the brotherly love,but we've mostly seen these through Maj's eyes, so what are your take on what your brother is doing

Karl- hahaha,well em! Am not exactly a fan of the kardashians, infact I began to pay her attention when she started to date kanye,but when Maj started,I thought he was being silly but I sorta enjoyed how he narrated the story,u know,when certain drama happens in your family,it pisses u off but when you hear another person narrate it in such a way that it gets you intrigued,it gets you hooked,seeing those writeups again and again,I saw his talent and narrating skill and I was cool with it....as long as the brothers are anonymous,lol

Hamz- (cuts in) yea I agree with Karl,in my case I knew about the kardashains but I don't exactly keep up religiously but right from the start,I've always been a fan but I never showed it, (all laughing) yea! I always told him he sucks but truly I was proud,still proud,always will

QT- I totally agree with my brothers,they've said it all

RIDWAN- A lot has happened in the Adagiri household over the years and from all indications,Hamz is the black sheep of the family (brothers laugh) are we expecting to see a change in behaviour?

KARL- (general laughter) Oh my God! Hamz,your secrets and antics revealed for the whole world to see,haha

HAMZ- Well as much as my misdemeanors aren't something am proud of,I believe it's something most households especially those with much male siblings can relate to and Maj here always gets mails from girls wanting to get my contact and hook up with me (winks) (general laughter) so its all good,though male fans out there,don try my ways at home ok? Our lives might not be fictitious but u might not be able to pull it off like I do (all laughs)

RIDWAN- How do you feel when Maj posts updates that makes u look bad

QT- I cringe,its really something I don't like looking forward to,u know,sometimes when we know we've done something uncool and in our downtime,we think "would Maj post about this,would he be a little lenient and just edit it to favour us a little,lol cos once u beg him to do that,that's when he goes ahead and report the whole story as it is (others laugh)

RIDWAN- Does mom know about kuwda

MAJ- yeah,in passing,kind of,she just warned me about putting our family stories out there,u know how moms can be

RIDWAN- In previous seasons,we saw u guys dabble into fashion,a lot of guys really took fashion tips from u guys as Maj always updates about what clothes u wore to what occasion,the kardashians have their clothing line and cosmetic line which they name kardashian khaos, kardashian konfidential,etc u know,starting with their K moniker,this season,we saw a hint of your comeback into fashion,would you guys go official and if so,what would your moniker be, :)

MAJ- (laughing) Lord! I haven't thought about that and hey! Let me make this clear,whilst kuwda was inspired by kuwtk I.e the kardashians,it doesn't mean we would copy all they do hook,line and sinker, nada! I would say never say never, em! If we are to start our clothing line,about the moniker (looking at brothers) I don't know (chuckles),maybe....(Karl cuts in)

KARL- ...Adagiri Adams, or Adagiri Adonis, u know,something with "ad" ,yeah,that should be our signature letter,lol

QT- We would brainstorm but I love Karl's suggestions....

HAMZ- ...yea yea,we will,but all this is Maj's idea so am sure after much thoughts,we would find a suitable moniker.

RIDWAN- A lot of fans would like to know...who is the kim amongst you guys,(brothers laughing) some argued it should be Maj cos #kuwda is his idea and the effeminate one amongst u guys(Maj cringes),some said it should be Hamz cos he always courts drama and gets into trouble,so am using this opportunity to ask...who is the kim?

QT- (laughing as the brothers share glances) I think its obvious who the "kim" amongst us is,it's obviously Maj (Maj covers face) I mean,let's face it,he is the cutest amongst us ,(Hamz cuts in) Hamz- NOoooooooooooo! QT- he is the cutest,that's fact,he might not gym like we do but I believe he is the cutest and ofcourse he brought us the attention,just like kim brought her sisters attention and by extension her whole family, n he is the one with the writing "talent", kim's "talent" was her sextape, Maj's own is his controversial sultry looks (All laughs) and ofcourse his writing.

KARL- (muffled chuckling) loool....I agree with QT, Maj is the kim and I guess QT is the kourtney ( all roaring with laughter) hahahahaha,yea yea and who is khloe?...(Hamz cuts in)

HAMZ- hahahaha, yea yea,and Karl is khloe, what an haphazard order,hahaha

QT- (holding tummy,as laughing subsides) lool, I don't agree,I mean I share no resemblance whatsoever to kourtney,am not in a stable relationship and I have no kids and I believe am not whiny nor the keeping malice type,so plssssss,am not,infact I think we only have a kim,no kourtney or khloe,just kim,QT,Hamz and Karl, (general laughter)

Maj- (mimicking kim) I think am gonna cry (all laughs)

RIDWAN- Wow! U guys are as much fun in real life as you are on #kuwda, a lot of people relate to you guys,not only in your fights and make ups but also family troubles,a lot of nigerians and foreigners alike relate to your stories which is even more interesting given you are all guys,some critics thought its just a "play" that would run out of fuel after few episodes when you run out of what to say because according to them, men stories aren't fun,so Maj,how have u been able to pull it off,generating so much followership on facebook and views on blog

MAJ- (sighs) Thanks for the question, first and foremost,I must say#kuwda started as a hobby, there was a time facebook got really boring,before whatsapp and twitter got popular,I thought of what to do to just spice things up,atleast on my end and with the kardashians inspiring me,that's how I started,so answering ur question, #kuwda is able to go on for many seasons cos I was doing what I love which is writing,so it didn't feel like work,I was just doing something that gave me a sense of calm, oprah once said its carthatic to write things down,so it's like a diary,yet not a diary, also I must confess I almost gave up several times cos it wasn't generating likes and comments as I'd expected it would but what kept me going was the mails that kept coming in and still comes in,people would send me messages on FB,fans and I mean lots of fans inundating me with messages for me not to stop,that though they rarely comment or like,they are so hooked on #kuwda and I was like, "how would people know my posts are being loved and followed cos am the one getting d mails,no one sees it but me" but God has being faithful,I never knew people even share on their own blogs,FB walls and you know,lots of word-of-mouth marketing on twitter et all, the move to blog was adviced by fans and since I never wanted to commercialise this so to speak and the fear that "oh am about to publicise my family dramas,how would people react to it" but so far,the viewership has being incredible,infact when I mentioned that I've created the blog,but no posts yet on it as I was still working on the blog,at that instant I had over 500 views,it was small but for that instant views,it touched me that people were really following,so here we are


RIDWAN- That's amazing, another question that some fans asked is that when would we have a really professionally done promotional pictures and why are the dramas on blog not as jaw-dropping as those on FB and aren't u bothered about someone stealing ur concept and making into a movie?

MAJ- ok! Ehhh (facing brothers) they are here,they are the one holding me back,so maybe they should be the one to answer that,lol, and about drama,u know,sometimes,there could be lots of drama going on in one's family and again sometimes you have calm moments,I've answered this question from some fans before and like I said to them,so far on blog,I think the stories have been quite the drama and lastly about someone stealing my concept,I've answered this also from concerned fans and well wishers,anyone stealing my concept would only make me famous,its obvious this is my idea and there are posts on my FB wall that dates back many years to prove I've been doing this for long,also the way the stories are,I really don't see how it can sell as a movie,its best for episodic viewing,not put together as a movie n I would sue anyone who steals my concept,its copyrighted :)

RIDWAN- What do u think makes people attracted to your stories,what makes u guys so interesting people keep up

KARL- I believe the originality of our lives,we aren't these amazing guys without flaws,Maj says it as it is which I believe people find cool,like they can relate with us

HAMZ- Also I believe the fact that we are not some perfect looking brothers,u know,there is balance,in that yea QT,Karl and I are the gym junkies with perfect bodies but without drop dead cute looks and Maj is the effeminate, imperfect brother but with his controversial "sultry" looks (all laughs) u know,an average mid-class family and living life like every other nigerian family and dealing with heartbreaks,pain,happiness and all

QT- And Maj though the feeble looking brother is the one who takes care of us and cooks and as he is known, the "sister" we never had,adds a spice to it that just draws fans and whets their appetite for more...

MAJ- I would also add which I think is most important,having each other's back and loving each other so much and just being guys,being silly,being cute,being goofy,being together...being brothers (brothers go "awwww")

RIDWAN- What more should we expect from you guys?

KARL- More drama,more loving,more fun (brothers nod approvingly)
