Chrysalis

The soul according to Buddhist adherents is usually described  as a butterfly emerging from a chrysalis...as it is said,butterflies are God's proof that there are second chances in life.

"A soul never really dies,only a body does...when it is too weak and old to continue it's journey on earth or suffers a terrible fate so intense and overwhelming that the body can't survive it,it leaves the body and goes to the afterlife,gets answers to questions about life and  life's issues and as a form of purifying the soul to achieve salvation,sent back in another form in a totally new body back to earth"

The haggardly dressed marabout with grey stubble and bald in the middle of his head with a dusty-white wrapper draped around one shoulder declared as he fiddled with his pagan objects on the ground,consisting of cowries,gold sand,some ancient coins etcetera,he looked up at dad's mom,the Adagiri matriarch and then suddenly,almost shouting,he asked her

"You've lost some sons in your lifetime,haven't you?"

Jamais vu- /jamais vu/- A state of being unfamiliar with something you should be familiar with, the opposite is Deja vu.


Most men's knowledge of female sexual needs begins and ends within a general radius of a few centimetre on her anatomy. For the average brothers, "good sex" means a totally genitally-oriented experience and if "he" is enjoying it, well,then so is she, right?

Wrong! While many men come,their partners go- so to speak, listen on and discover what drives women to despair when it comes to sex,romance and bedroom etiquette.

Jamais vu- /jamais vu/- A state of being unfamiliar with something you should be familiar with, the opposite is Deja vu.

Women are amazing beings created by God,delicate,beautiful and with a reservoir of inbuilt strenght  and as men,we find them to be sometimes complicated,amazing and downright shocking that you begin to ask yourself if when it comes to women,you sometimes find yourself in a state of jamais vu.

It is no longer news that the world is gradually recovering from recession and that I've been job hunting for a while now, so when my lovely brother QT announced to me that there was going to be an audition for an on air personality at Fleur FM in abuja,though,quite hesitant to go because I had thought about the idea of presenting on radio and the idea scared me a little,I agreed to go in order to challenge myself and prove to myself that I could tackle anything and take on the world.

"So is the audition going to be on air?"

Beards

It is not often that me and my brothers go to the barbershop together to have our haircut obviously because our hair growth differs and also when one is ready to have a shave or haircut,the other might not be ready,so when the occasion comes up where we all go to the barbershop,we always find it fun until this day.

Strolling into the barbing salon with my brothers who were engaged in a banter,we all greeted the man in charge as I quickly sat directly under the split airconditioner to cool down from the blistering heat I had to endure trekking down to the salon

"So how do you want it?" The barber asked Karl who was sitting on the executive,whirl-around chair,he dug his fingers into his wavy mop of lush black hair and turned to face us

"Should I chop it all off?" He asked with a dry grin

The massive church bell chimed intermittently sending its sounds echoing through the city as a hymnal song of ave maria can be heard in the background

Jason knelt in front of the blonde statue of the virgin mary,praying fervently and occasionally opening his eyes to see if no one was too close for comfort. When the time came for him to receive communion,he didn't move an inch because the activity requires the priest to dip his hand in a cup and put some  broken bread in everyone's mouth,he had always received communion but today,he chose not to, but why was he paranoid?
