Keeping Up With D Adagiris: 2015 Rundown of episodes

And like a taxi driver who pulls to a stop after reaching his destination, 2015 has taken us on its ride, pulled to a stop and now has to bid us its farewell, it has been quite an amazingly beautiful year however, it is pertinent to note that the ride has been quite the roller coaster spliced with a few bumps here and there with some dash of ups and downs, seasoned with a couple of really happy and amazing moments and ofcourse garnished with handful (or more than) of wholesome drama, a bitter-sweet one would aptly sum it up but isn't that what life is all about?

The year 2015 on Keeping Up With D Adagiris blog opened up with much trepidation, fear and uncertainty after the previous year ended in so much chaos which stemmed from  the destruction of a huge section of our abuja home which was destroyed by Alhaji garuba's hench men from unsettled loan owed him by Mom which got us getting the police involved but the rich man boasted he had the authorities in his pocket as he was a wealthy man and could do and undo, which led us into getting the media involved to feast on the both of us and let the court of public opinion judge us both. As if that wasn't a huge worry of titanic proportion, enough to take  our heads off, Karl and QT got into a violent fight which resulted in QT dealing Karl over the ears with a deadly blow which resulted in partial deafness in that ear which required a minor surgery to correct, it was really a crazy and emotionally draining moment for us all then. How can I also forgot the moment time literally stood still when Mom and Dad's ex-girlfriend Nicole met when she visited for a post-humous get together birthday party for Dad hosted by Karl who lost out on the chance of ever having a relationship with him, that was some really awkward s**t, then the birthday parties we threw  each of us brothers, decorating the house by improvising with homemade decors, cheap drinks and making our own barbecue when money was short, whew! It's been quite an amazing year and am glad I could capture these memories in words the best I can whilst entertaining you all lovely Amazeballs but before I proceed, a little background information on the Adagiri family for those just getting to know about Kuwda.


Keeping up with the Adagiris started in the year 2010 borne out of boredom and  relating to a certain event in the kardashians reality show whilst watching back in 2010, it spurred me to start writing about our lives and which also helps in pouring out my heart which gives a cathartic feeling. At the outset, it chronicled the lives of just myself (Maj), Hamz and QT detailing our day to day lives and dramas until sometime in 2012 when we found out we had a half-brother from an american ex-girlfriend of our late Dad whilst schooling in the states before he married Mom who came along with our half-brother to trace the family of his late dad, you can only imagine how we all felt. You can read back episodes from 2014 as I would be giving the summary for this year, also events from the beginning would be compiled in a book God willing soon so you can all get full insights into how past events dictate and influence decisions taken by individual members of the family today. So starting with the premiere episode in 2015 was

 1) THE SOUND OF SILENCE- Karl's life literally hung on the balance in the hospital were his topless body lay unconscious after passing out after being dealt a blow to the ears by QT  during a violent fight, it was quite obvious Karl could easily deal with QT since he had more tactical approach to flooring an opponent, an advantage he had from training gotten from his military background but  was trying not to act so aggressive because he was the "newest" brother and didn't want to seem like he was bad news already but apparently, QT couldn't be bothered as he threw his punches with all the energy he could muster, one of which hit Karl over the ear which made him pass out and needing a minor surgical procedure to correct, all these in the wake of a more serious issue which is a legal battle with Alhaji Garuba, a wealthy man Mom had gone to  secure a loan from and  couldn't meet up even when the time hadn't even elapsed, he told us he no longer wanted the money, rather he wanted our house and obviously, we weren't having none of that so he sent his goons to destroy a large section of our house, boasting he had the authorities in his pocket and to burst his bubble, Mom got the media involved to feast on the both of us, read the full story HERE. 

 2) CARPE DIEM- She had longs legs that wouldn't quit, beautiful, almond shaped eyes, sleek, long hair and a silhouette that rivals top models, Gloria was a coursemate of Maj back in school and whilst they were both catching up via blackberry messenger after loosing touch for a while, Maj reminisces about his crush and how he lost out on the opportunity of  dating the lady of his dreams, Read the full post HERE. 

3) THE OTHER WOMAN- Weeks have passed and Karl is fine and his auditory senses in perfect condition and as Dad's birthday approaches, he broached the idea of throwing a post-humous birthday getogether for our late father as a way of feeling some sort of connection towards a man who never really made efforts to see him other than sending money for his and his mom's living expenses, to create an avenue for us his sons to bond more and we all bought the idea until he added that his mom should be present and Mom was feeling a little hesitant and uncomfortable with the whole arrangement, for her to dine with the other woman was a pill too bitter to swallow, but did she go ahead with us?  4) WARD 309- Mom had been feeling sick and had passed out suddenly at the airport while we saw Nicole off to the airport and on rushing her to the hospital, we got a rude shock of our lives, one of her kidneys was bad and needed to be changed, at first, a stent was inserted into her to help her for a while but when it became imperative that she needed to be operated upon after shying and praying away the condition, she asked her sisters to accompany her to the hospital and can you guess their response? 5) UPHEAVAL 1- QT was feeling rather morose on our way home from a wedding of his ex-girlfriend and as his brothers, we tried to soothe his heart by counseling him not to take things to heart, while at it, Karl got a disturbing call from his mom in the states asking him to visit him by the following week, disturbed and unsettled by the call, he got ready to go as he thought something ugly might have happened to his mom. 6) UPHEAVAL 2 and 3- These episodes detailed the drama going on in Nicole's (Karl's mom) marriage with her husband and their little son's strange ailment which was taking a toll on their marriage and pushing her husband into cheating and strange enough, his odd, sexual fetishes which Karl found out about after trailing him. 7) WHAT POLITICS HAS DIVIDED- It is the wake of the electioneering campaigns in the country and the untold frustrations it brought upon the citizens in form of road blocks and traffic everywhere, Maj and Karl deal with this as Karl vents his frustrations at a country of his fatherland where things barely work, Mom and her ex bickered over political issues and why they couldn't just be a couple, you will recall Mom was briefly engaged to a man before which ended quite tragically, Read HERE.

8) SEABUCKTHORN- No family ever really outgrows sibling rivalry, it more often than not continues into old age and Mom and her sisters proved this in this post. After Mom's invasive surgery, things have been quite tense between the sisters and we could understand why, Mom felt let down, why the title sea-buck-thorn? Find out by clicking HERE.

 9) JE SUIS KARLY- This episode is all about Karl as he reminisce about a near-death experience while in the u.s army fighting in iraq, Read HERE.

10) KISSES ARE DELICIOUS- This is a sexually explicit post about a sexual groove Maj got involved in, lol. Read HERE.

 11) DEATH BECOMES HIM - Early in the morning, we got a rude shock when news came in that my aunt's ex-husband had gave up the ghost, even though he was a terrible husband, wife-beater and an absentee father, Maj tried to psycho-analyse him, Read full post HERE.

12) LASGIDI STATE OF MIND (MAHTL)- Maj and Hamz took lagos in this spin-off premiere episode where Maj had allowed himself be convinced by Hamz for them to travel to lagos by flight assuring Maj he has a rich instagram friend in lagos who would give them a lot of money,lol, Read full episode HERE.

 13) STORY FOR THE GODS(MAHTL)- The spin-off episode continues detailing their trip to lagos. The brothers promptly settled to life in the west of nigeria then Hamz went to see his rich instagram girlfriend while Maj went about his errands in lagos but when Hamz came back, he came bearing a story for the gods, Read HERE.

14) QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY (MAHTL)- With no money to go back home to abuja, Maj had to start calling ex-girlfriends and even bedding some to raise money, terrible but very much needed and in one of such sexual liaisons, Maj was told he had a queer eye, Read HERE.

15) GIRL POWER (MAHTL)- In commemoration of women's day, Maj attempts to write in a shape of the silhouette of a woman, a post on the women who had inspired him through time, sadly, the silhouette wasn't well formed but Read HERE.

16) GRANDE SORTIE (MAHTL)- The finale of the brothers sojourn to lagos ,Maj had finally raised money for their bus ticket back to abuja, all was set, the hassans also gave them money until Hamz ruined everything by sleeping with their househelp which culminated in the brothers dashing out of the house after being caught and Hamz's action, ruining both of the brothers' reputations, Read all about it HERE.

17) LIFE HACKS- On a camping trip during the presidential elections, the brothers and a group of friends had to deal with life without their sleek gadgets, electricity, et al prompting them to learn some life hacks they and others who reads the post will take with them forever, Click HERE to read.

 18) FRESHMAN AT LIFE- Who is a freshman at life? An idiot who seems to have no clue on just about anything or who argues so blindly even when facing the facts. A cousin came visiting and drove the brothers to despair with his cluelessness, Read HERE.

19) LYING IN STATE- When a group of female high school  friends voted on who was going to be one to die young, ofcourse as a joke, no one took it seriously until many many years later, she died, not exactly young but the first from amongst that group of friends, were her friends dazed?  20) SHUTDOWN- All hell was let loose when Mom found out Maj had a blog where he wrote about all that happens in the family and demands that the blog be shut down! How was this issue resolved? Read HERE to find out.

21) DO A BRUCE JENNER? - Bruce jenner (now caitlyn) sat down with diane sawyer and talked about his intended sex change and this garnered so much attention. As Maj is quite effeminate, the brothers wondered if Maj would someday do a bruce jenner and poured out their thoughts on paper, Read HERE.

22) THE SECRET LAUGHTER OF MEN- There's a saying that gossiping is a woman's pastime and that men don't indulge in it, is it an overflogged cliche? Find out as men got down to gossiping by clicking HERE.

23) CLOSE SHAVE- Hamz's philandering ways got him into close shave with serious STDs which got us to seeing the doctor and you can imagine the tension that put us through, Read HERE.

 25) COMPOUND MATTERS- Maj starts job at his new workplace and Mom tries to hyphenate her maiden name plus her late husband's surname. Read all about it HERE.

26) CRIMSON SKYLINE- The family is sent into an emotional landslide literally when Karl declares his intention of converting back to christianity and in the heat of a recurring drama between Mom and the Adagiri matriarch, Hamz and Maj decides to dig for answers to the Adagiri family's history, lineage and source of the controversial yet unseen wealth of the family, click HERE to read. 

27) CAMOUFLAGE 1 and 2- These chronicles the breakdown of Maj's relationship to ariana, the factors contributing and why Maj would never camouflage for love, Read 1 HERE and 2 HERE.

28) AWKWARD ENCOUNTER- The episode opens with the brothers giving their Mom a surprise birthday present, everything went fine but what was awkward? When Maj, Hamz and Karl went to the market to buy food stuffs and they ran into an ex-girlfriend of Hamz, it was more serious because of the history between them, lying that Hamz was the father of her baby and when the truth was revealed, waylayed and attacked Hamz and his new girlfriend at the time with a sharp blade. 29) WATCHING EMPIRE- Empire is the trending soap to watch all over the world and as the brothers gathered around to watch, they could help but notice the uncanny similarities to their own line up as brothers, Andre and QT as eldest brothers, Jamal and Maj, both slightly effeminate, talented and both in the middle and bad boys Hakeem and Hamz as the babies of the house, where does that leave Karl? 30) WE LIKE TO PARTY- The brothers throw a surprise birthday party for QT, it took the efforts of not only the brothers but also friends around the neighborhood and as the day got close which was also nigeria's independence anniversary, Maj fell ill, would he miss out? Click HERE to find out.

Also in the year 2015, we got nominated for the nigeria's bloggers award in the best personality category, broke a few personal records on the blog in terms of viewership and the facebook group of keeping up with d adagiris continues to grow, thank you so much Amazeballs for the support, let's do this again in 2016 God willing.
